Dr Gavin Dalgleish

GENERAL PRACTITIONER REGISTRAR

I have been lucky enough to call the most beautiful part of the world (Western Australia) my home since 2022, or as I like to call it, the world’s best-kept secret. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Canada I could not be farther from the place I once called home. The mellow rhythm of country towns in WA brings a feeling of calm and familiarity, drawing me out of the city. Moving to Western Australia was not my first stop along the journey. I first left Canada to attend medical school in Ireland at the National University of Ireland Galway. I briefly worked in University Hospital Limerick, and a GP clinic in Ennis prior to stowing away amongst all the Irish doctors headed to Perth. Since living in Perth, I have had the opportunity to work throughout the East Metro Health Service including Royal Perth Hospital, Bentley Health Campus, St John of God Midland, and Armadale Health Service. I have been lucky to have exposure in a variety of fields including emergency medicine, trauma surgery, psychiatry and addiction medicine. My personal interests include chronic disease management, general medicine, and mental health. If I’m not working, I’m likely puttering around clearing my ever growing “To-Do” list, playing music, or enjoying the simple pleasure of spending time with friend and family. I am told I have been given the “gift of the gab”. Which just means I like to meet new people and have a chat. I look forward to meeting you at The Health Hub, where we work to support all individuals through good times and bad and strengthen our communities through health education.
