GENERAL PRACTITIONER REGISTRAR

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and spent several years working in General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Emergency Medicine before moving to Australia in 2023. Since then, I have worked at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals in New South Wales, and later at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital in Western Australia. These experiences have given me a broad background across Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Mental Health, Surgery, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I am fluent in both English and Sinhalese, which helps me connect with a diverse range of patients. I am also currently completing the Diploma in Child Health to further broaden my knowledge and qualifications, particularly in Paediatrics. My professional interests lie in general medicine, children’s health, women’s health, and mental health, and I am passionate about supporting families through all stages of life. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, relaxing at the beach on weekends, and reading a good book.
