General Practitioner
Before becoming a doctor, I was a nurse, and before then I was always looking after people. Turning grimaces into grins, finding solutions in confusion, or simply allowing someone to tell their story, is indeed a privilege. On completion of my medical degree, I aspired to a career in family medicine. It is the best job in the world, (acknowledging that I was never going to score the winning goal for Newcastle United in the FA Cup final).
I have special interests in aged care, men’s health, and paediatrics
